Monica Richter, economist and social ecologist, has extensive experience in environmental sustainability and advancing low- and zero-carbon solutions. Career highlights include leading Australia’s green iron manufacturing opportunity, founding the Materials and Embodied Carbon Leaders’ Alliance, and establishing the Business Renewables Centre – Australia. She has driven large-scale renewable projects, supported WWF’s PandaLabs innovation program, and advanced the Science Based Targets Initiative in Australia.

A graduate of leadership programs, Monica serves on multiple boards and advisory councils, chairs key sustainability bodies, and was named a Top 100 Green Power Influencer in 2023 and 2024 for her significant impact on climate action.
