Michael is an climate and sustainability strategy expert with a 14 year career in sustainability spanning Victorian Government, banking and utilities. Michael was formerly the Head of Climate and Sustainability Solution at NAB and the Head of Sustainable Futures at Melbourne Water. Michael has delivered Melbourne Water’s 50% net emissions reduction target and steered the development of Melbourne Water’s Climate Transition Plan, delivered NAB’s current lending decarbonisation targets for their highest-emitting sectors, delivered the Solar Victoria loan program which lends $100 million annually to homes to install solar and batteries and Supported the development of the green bond framework in conjunction with the Department of Treasury and Finance and Treasury Corporation Victoria. Michael has extensive experience in sustainability reporting (TCFD through to ASRS) and integrated climate change and natural capital into strategy development, corporate governance, risk management and corporate disclosures at NAB.
