The Australian Sustainable Built Environment Council (ASBEC) is a collaborative national forum of peak bodies focussed on achieving sustainable, productive and resilient buildings, infrastructure, communities and cities. ASBEC members are industry associations, professional bodies, not-for-profits, academia and government observers, who are involved in the planning, design, delivery and operation of Australia’s built environment.

The NSW Decarbonisation Innovation Hub is a NSW Government initiative supporting the net zero emissions targets, fostering collaboration, partnerships and projects between industry, academia and government.

Materials & Embodied Carbon Leaders’ Alliance (MECLA) brings together the drive to reduce embodied carbon in the building and construction industry.

MECLA is determined to transform the building and construction sector to reach Net-Zero emissions. MECLA recognises the growing demand for lower and zero-carbon materials worldwide and explores how we can work together to move Australia towards a zero-carbon economy and position Australia as a top material supplier through systems innovation.

SmartCrete CRC is an independent, for-impact Cooperative Research Centre driving innovation to decarbonise concrete and transition Australia toward net zero by 2050. Backed by $21 million in Commonwealth funding, SmartCrete empowers cross-sector R&D collaborations with manufacturers, architects, engineers, developers, and government. By connecting Australia’s concrete ecosystem, the CRC accelerates material innovation, supports sustainable design and lifecycle management, and champions best practices that transform concrete into a low-carbon building material for the future.

The Australian Institute of Architects is the peak body for the architecture profession, representing over 14,000 members across Australia and overseas. The Institute is dedicated to improving the quality of the built environment by promoting excellence in architecture, advocating for the profession, and supporting architects at every stage of their careers.

Through its national awards, professional development programs, policy leadership and research initiatives, the Institute champions the role of architecture in shaping resilient, sustainable and culturally rich communities. It also provides trusted resources, including Acumen practice notes, and represents members’ interests to government, industry and the wider public.
